This specialised form of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is designed to support the body's natural healing process before and after surgical procedures, particularly cosmetic or reconstructive surgery (such as liposuction, tummy tuck, facelift, breast surgery, etc). On Pre-operative MLD we use the Vodder method, which prepares the tissues by stimulating lymph flow, helping reduce fluid retention, enhance circulation, and improve cellular health. This can promote a smoother surgical procedure and optimise recovery. Post-operative MLD we use the Godoy&Godoy method, which is a gentle, rhythmic, and non-invasive, aiming to reduce swelling (edema), bruising, and inflammation by enhancing lymphatic drainage. It supports the breakdown and removal of excess fluid, cellular waste, and toxins. Additionally, it can aid in pain relief, scar healing, and tissue regeneration (by impeding the formation of fibrotic tissue)- often leading to a faster, more comfortable recovery. Studies have demonstrate that MLD speeds up the removal of wastes and fluid 20 times faster. Treatment is always tailored to your individual stage of recovery and in accordance with medical advice.
